# How do I approve a file in InSite?
## Review your soft proof and submit your approval online.
Once your print files have been reviewed by Bradford & Bigelow's prepress team, you'll receive notification that your soft proof is ready for approval in InSite. Approving your job through the portal is the fastest way to move your project into production.
**Before you approve**
Review your proof carefully before submitting approval. Check the following:
- Page count and order
- Text accuracy including titles, author names, headers, and captions
- Image placement and quality
- Colors, particularly any critical brand colors
- Bleed and margins on key pages
- Spine text alignment and sizing (for perfect bound and case bound covers)
Once you submit approval, your job moves forward in the production queue. Changes requested after approval may impact your schedule and cost.
**How to approve your file**
Follow the steps below to review and approve your proof in InSite:
**Need to request a revision instead?**
If you notice an issue during your proof review, you can submit a revision request directly through InSite rather than approving. Note any specific changes needed and our prepress team will follow up.
