• Bradford & Bigelow has leased an additional 50,000 square feet of warehousing and fulfillment space to complement our in-house, state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot fulfillment center.

  • The decision was made to invest in a high-speed and quality long-run solution for four-color books. The 48-page Manroland Lithoman was selected and went live in 2019.
  • New digital technology entered the market and Bradford & Bigelow upgraded its inkjet technology to high-definition presses that have the same look and feel as conventional offset products.
  • As coil binding became increasingly popular, two automated coil and punch machines were added for additional capacity and faster output.

  • Bradford & Bigelow headquarters underwent construction to add 50,000 square feet of fulfillment and warehousing space as well as an addition for the room in which the Manroland Lithoman press would be located.
  • A Stahlfolder was purchased to provide additional folding capacity.
  • A new high-speed Shaklin wrapper and auto label machine were purchased.
  • The cameras on the secure testing line were upgraded to improve uptime and efficiency.

  • Installed 50kwh solar panels to reduce and stabilize energy costs and Bradford & Bigelow’s carbon footprint. The solar panels power 50% of Bradford & Bigelow’s requirements.
  • Upgraded tabbing equipment to a three-unit machine needed for mailing folded pieces.
  • Purchased a new Epsom for hardcopy proofs.
  • Added four additional pockets on Plus for less passes on high spirals.

  • Added capabilities to utilize PUR glue on B&B’s perfect binding equipment.
  • Introduced face-edge printing which allows companies to add additional messaging to the face-edge of their products.
  • Purchased a new poly bag machine to do in-house polybagging.
  • Bought new stitcher to complement Bradford & Bigelow’s digital iGen machinery so that books could be stapled inline.
  • Upgraded digital line to have the ability to inkjet inline.

  • Invested in Kodak Prinergy, the most advanced front-end in the industry that allows customers to upload and edit their files in real-time in place of an FTP.
  • Introduced mailing solutions and software to provide customers with in-house services at the highest delivery rates.
  • Introduced and installed fulfillment racking, equipment, and front-end system to offer a one-stop-shop solution to all customers looking for logistical solutions.
  • Purchased two iGen digital machines for short-run one-color printing.
  • Upgraded UV coater for sheetfed equipment.
  • Installed new inking system to reduce waste, washup time, and energy.
